Two weeks ago I bought a new OPI Nail Lacquer that is all the rage. And now, I see why. OPI Shatter is a nail lacquer that is added to freshly painted nails, that then begins to break away from itself, making cracks and spaces where the nail lacquer from underneath can be seen.
After you have painted your nails with the desired nail lacquer, [I would recommend using a lighter color underneath, the lighter the color the more it will stand out against Shatter], and your nails are dry, paint a light coat of OPI Shatter over top. Take caution to make sure the coast of OPI Shatter is light, too heavy of a coat and the product will not crack properly. As soon as you have painted each nail, blow on it slightly, this will activate Shatter to start doing it’s magic. And don’t be discouraged if it takes you a few tries to get the technique down, it took me 3 fingernails to get the technique down. One of the upsides to OPI Shatter, in addition to just looking really cool, it dries very quickly allowing you to put a top coat over top. Another upside is that Shatter actually helps to keep your polish underneath in place.
